Research Priorities
We are a collaborative of environmental
organizations, academics, solar companies, and solar industry representatives that will advance coordinated scientific research to better understand how birds interact with solar facilities. Our goal is to advance our understanding in order to develop solar projects in an environmentally friendly and commercially viable manner.
The Avian Solar Work Group (ASWG) is a collaborative group of environmental
organizations, academics, solar companies, and solar industry representatives that will
advance coordinated scientific research to better understand how birds interact with solar facilities.
In 2016, the ASWG convened a panel of academics to help articulate a priority research agenda for avian-solar interactions. The resulting Research Panel Report defines our research priorities and serves as our agenda for future endeavors.
